Photographer: Brett Jackman Digital Developing: Brett Jackman
Theme: “Darkness” and “Land Air and Sea” Concept: Low light, very dark, generally monochromatic landscapes, buildings, architecture, basically anything that is interestingly or barely lit at night
Comments: This shot is with my new ultra wide 14-24 mm lens. It’s a meeting of my “Darkness” series on the left hand side and the “Sydney Nights” series in one very wide image. The fact it reflects the two different and opposing landscape series is why the selective colouring. A mesh of both my glamour and emotive landscape styles
Location: View in southern direction from Mrs Macquaries Point, Sydney Australia
Tools of the Trade: Nikon D700 and Monfrotto tripod
Wow! I love the contrast between the black and white and the colour. For me also it suggests loneliness, sandess (the black and white part) and the opposite companionship...maybe happiness and for sure fun. I love the sky too! Beautiful photo!
